Cultures all around the world have had a unique connection between spiritual experience and the promotion of ecological stewardship. At a time it was seen that the bridge between the higher realms of consciousness and the natural world was narrowed in places where life was seen as sacred. This is evidenced by the existance of gardens, forests, sanctuaries, and oasis surrounding historical spiritual locations.
In an age of a distancing disconnect from the natural environmnet that on which all life depends. We pursue peaceful coexistance in radical ways. This satisfaction is found by some pursuing outdoor motor sports, others the pursuit of domineering scientific mastery over the natural world. Such man centric principles are shared by both tech company philanthropist and the weekend warrior mud slinger. In many regards we are not all that different.
The difference is that both value the experience of the environment though collectively they do not take self responsibility for observational effects they have on the enviroment via their actions.
This is why this is an organization non dependent upon political affiliation. For political solution is not needed to take a section of the Earth into your observation and act as a steward for its betterment.
The effect of personal localized action is the best way to obtain successful results. By ecosystem management being directed by an individual rather than a organized institution, promotes intuitive and personal connection to a local region. That is to get our own personal hands dirty, not to deligate it out to a government organization to manage. It is in this way that we remember the sacred relationship we have with nature and encourage a future of ecological stability and biodiversity.
